We originally booked a private dive for just the two of us as we were attending a destination wedding but were able to add some more people from the wedding group that were interested. We also went out with them again the next day with a couple other divers they know (who were also super nice and fun to be around). We would have gone a third day but the winds and weather were not in our favor . . . next time!

Ruthie and Scott definitely know their dive spots and my wife was finally able to see a sea turtle! We were able to hit a few locations as we were able to go for two days. Ruthie has a passion for diving and marine life and it shows. She’s a great underwater guide and we would have missed a lot of stuff if she hadn’t pointed it out to us. Safety, of course, is primary and she made sure to check on everyone to make sure we were all doing well.

Scott runs the boat and support and runs a clean and tight ship. Group safety comes first so there isn’t any loose equipment around and everything is properly stowed. He’s there to help everyone in and out of the water and to make things easy and comfortable for the divers. The ladder is very diver friendly and makes it easy to get back on the boat. They even took care of our equipment after the first day and had everything setup for us for the next day of diving. Plenty of food and beverages too! Great for hydrating and relaxing during those surface intervals.

We can’t wait for our next trip and to see them again!

We went to Culebra for Snorkeling and Ruthie is so patient and the best teacher. The water out there is unlike anything I have ever seen! The fish and the corals look like they are out of a movie.

Ruthie is also an incredible cook and another night on our vacation we had a sunset dinner cruise. What a wonderful experience.

  This half day of snorkeling on The Dragon Fruit was the highlight of my family’s Feb 2022 visit to Puerto Rico. Our family of four included two elementary school-aged children… read more and everyone has varying swimming abilities – Ruthie and Captain Scottie could not have been more helpful in making sure everyone was comfortable and having an enjoyable time. We did a morning charter and while the water was a little choppy going out, it was pretty calm by the time we got to the reef at Palomino Island and we were able to see a large variety of fish (and even a sea turtle!). Safety was the main theme and I felt very comfortable with our young swimmers as they followed Ruthie around in the water. The gear was in good shape and flippers were provided. The lunch was the best meal we had on our trip and the conversation was lively and full of belly laughs. Can’t wait to return in a few years and try scuba diving with Ruthie and Scottie!

We enjoyed a beautiful sunset before heading back to the marina. Ruthie and Scott made it feel like a trip with old friends. Highly recommend.

We had hoped to be on an afternoon snorkel trip on Wednesday but received a text from Ruthie early Monday morning stating that their boat had broken a key element the day before, Ruthie offered to find us another tour and do whatever she could do to help us secure another trip. She was incredibly kind and apologetic, and even though the news she gave us what disappointing, we were so appreciative of her excellent communication. As it turns out, the next morning we received a new text from Ruthie saying that they had secured a new boat! Unfortunately, we had already made other plans so could not avail ourselves of this offer. Still, our sense is the Simpatico Tours is a CLASS ACT. We’re looking forward to booking a trip with them the next time we come to Puerto Rico.

My family (wife, 3 kids – 9,8,6) with varying swimming abilities were… read more able to enjoy snorkeling in a safe environment. Ruthie is a highly experienced swimmer/lifeguard who made us very comfortable in the water.

Saw sharks, lobster, eagle ray, barracuda, puffer fish, turtle, grouper, eel in a short time period. Sea was calm off Palomino island. Boat was extremely steady and despite my history of motion sickness, I was hardly affected.

They are also easy to communicate with pre-trip. I would do this again in a heartbeat.
